Alex Fox

West Midlands

Alex is 39 years old, lives in Bromsgrove, and works as Communications Manager for a software firm. He was a proud founding conference delegate of Your Party and has been committed to building this party as a genuine socialist movement from the outset. He is a socialist because he believes power should sit with the many, not the few. He is a committed LGBTQIA+ ally. Earlier in his working life, he served as an USDAW trade union shop steward in retail, becoming one of the youngest shop stewards at the time. That experience taught him that rights are never given freely, they are organised for, and that democratic accountability must be fought for and defended.

Andy Walker

North East

Andy is a Your Party member based in the City of Durham. He has been a labour movement activist for more than 40 years, and is currently the secretary of the Newcastle branch of the National Union of Journalists and also a parish councillor in his local area of Langley Park. He resigned from the Labour Party in 2025 in opposition to its anti-Palestine and pro-austerity political agenda.

If elected to the CEC, Andy will bring a wide range of political and organisational skills to the leadership of Your Party, which include more than three decades working as a journalist and a communications expert in a range of national and regional third sector, not-for-profit, charitable and campaigning organisations. He will be a genuine members' representative on the CEC and will look to bring the voice of comrades in the North East region to the leadership of Your Party - a region which has a rich socialist tradition which has done so much to build our movement over many years.

Hilary Schan

I’m standing on my proven record of organising and winning for socialism in the South East. I led a historic victory in Worthing, winning the council for the first time on a bold socialist manifesto, and now serve as an Independent councillor. As a former Chair of Momentum, I have run a national political organisation, and have seen how Left factionalism weakens us. In my day job, I'm a Community Food worker and proud member of the Bakers, Food and Allied Workers' Union. I will be accountable only to members and focused on building a democratic, outward-facing socialist party that can unite, win, and defeat the far right.

The CEC which we elect will determine whether Your Party makes it or breaks it as a national political party. We need to ensure that we elect members with the requisite skills.

I have ten years’ experience in leadership positions in large and complex organisations. As Deputy Head of two very large schools, I have considerable experience with policy development, regulatory compliance, professional development, recruitment and strategic planning. I also have considerable experience with budgetary management, including a degree in economics, and in fundraising strategy. I have organised more than ten large scale in person events with several thousand participants and was closely involved with the establishment of a successful Palestinian NGO.

My geopolitics experience and understanding of the public mood, deployed in service of socialist values, can establish the political direction the CEC needs in this moment.

The two goals upon which YP can win mass support – economic equality and peace – are those I’ve worked for when advising MPs, Shadow-Ministers, and institutions like the International Criminal Court, and serving as a diplomat and with Unite the Union (helping the CEC advance Conference’s policy choices).

As a Parliamentary Candidate in Australia, I stood on this platform, mobilising 400+ volunteers.

Experience appearing on mainstream media (BBC, Al-Jazeera) and critiquing it (Huffington-Post articles), can help us navigate the hostile media landscape.

Marxist, trade unionist, community activist for 40 years. Make billionaires history, save the planet, take ownership of OUR wealth by creating a party with grassroots democracy. Branches to elect delegates to conference; CEC to serve conference. All elected reps to be on wage of a skilled worker and subject to recall and electable on a one/two year rolling basis. Reject left reformism. Believe in a socialist future. Vote socialist.
