I'm an artist, art historian and former lecturer. I'm a Unite member and left the Labour Party over the Iraq War, rejoining when Corbyn came to power. I was a 2019 General Election candidate, a Portland Councillor, Council Chair and Labour Group Leader. As Mayor of Portland I took the Home Secretary, Suella Braverman, and Dorset Council to court over the inhumane and barbaric Bibby Stockholm asylum seeker accommodation barge.
Your Party has no left or right- we're all 'the left'. We exist to give working class and oppressed people a party offering radical change. I'm focussed on ensuring that the CEC works for you, that egos are put aside and structures are opened up to ordinary members. As your rep, I'll demand that your voice is heard.
